Chumba Casino and Luckyland Slots have restricted purchases as of January 15. Nevada players can still play the games at Chumba Casino through February 15, and mail-in offer requests will still be processed until that date.

Nevada sweepstakes casino players woke up to some bad news on Thursday morning, as two of the biggest U.S.-facing sweeps casino sites exited the state.

Chumba Casino and Luckyland Slots no longer allow purchases in Nevada. Both sweeps casinos have added Nevada to the list of restricted states.

At Chumba Casino, Gold Coins packages were still available for purchase on Wednesday but were nowhere to be found on either site as of Thursday morning.

Nevada players can still redeem existing Sweeps Coins balances for now, but that window could close soon. In the case of Chumba Casino, some Facebook users have posted a notice that they say they received regarding Chumba’s exit timeline in Nevada:

According to the notice, all purchases are restricted as of January 15. Nevada players can still play the games at Chumba Casino through February 15, and mail-in offer requests will still be processed until that date. On April 15, Nevada players will no longer have access to Chumba Casino in any form.

Nevada players could not create a new account at Luckyland Slots as of Friday morning, with Nevada now appearing on a list of restricted states that appears during the registration process.

Both Chumba Casino and Luckyland Slots are owned by Virtual Gaming World (VGW), which is also the parent company of Global Poker. VGW announced in December that Global Poker would also cease operations in Nevada on April 15, 2025.

The Nevada exit for VGW follows an exit from the Connecticut market last October, in compliance with a cease-and-desist order from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. VGW has received similar orders from other states, including Delaware.

Sweepstakes casino sites still available in Nevada

Sweepstakes casino sites operate in more than 40 U.S. states, but the list of available sweeps casino sites is more restricted in Nevada than it is in most states.

If you’re in Nevada, you can still access the following sweeps casino platforms as of Friday:

  • RubySweeps*
  • NoLimitCoins
  • Funrize
  • Fortune Coins
  • Zula Casino
  • Sportzino

*Purchases at RubySweeps disappeared from the menu for Nevada players on Thursday as well but are back as of Friday morning. Nevada does not appear on the list of restricted states for RubySweeps, so it looks like business as usual for Nevada players at that site for now.
